About Aztec Grappling Academy
Our History
Aztec Grappling Academy was founded in 2024 by Tony “Able” Sanchez, a 4th degree Purple Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Tony “Able” Sanchez has over 20 years of experience in jiu-jitsu and wrestling.
Our Instructors
Coach Tony “Able” Sanchez discovered his passion for grappling at an early age, starting youth wrestling in Altus, Oklahoma at just 5 years old. His journey continued with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which he began training in 2010, deepening his dedication to the art of grappling.
Coach Able brings a powerful combination of wrestling experience and jiu-jitsu knowledge to Aztec Grappling Academy. His years of coaching youth wrestling in Cache, Oklahoma, have produced impressive results—multiple national champions and Oklahoma State champions. His success on the mat fuels his commitment to helping others grow through the discipline and community that grappling provides.
Since 2019, Coach Able has been teaching students ages 5 and up, inspiring both kids and adults to develop confidence, skill, and a love for the sport.

Our Programs
We offer a variety of programs to suit the needs of students of all ages and skill levels. Our programs include kids classes, adult classes, and private lessons. These programs are designed to help students develop physical fitness, mental focus, and self-defense skills.
